In the latest Business News article (December 19, 2016), Professor Chan was interviewed about our quest to raise $5M dollars to create a one-stop shop where patients can receive cancer diagnosis, medical treatment and support services.

“Every patient has different needs and we want to provide a world-class one-stop shop,” said Professor Chan.

This will include both medical treatment and ongoing support services required such as physiotherapists, psychologists and social workers.  Professor Chan also wants the centre to be a place of education for doctors in training, families and cancer patients.

It will cost an estimated $5 million dollars to bring this from vision to reality.

BCRC-WA hopes to secure commitments from corporates and philanthropists over the next few months, providing an opportunity for potential donors to engage with the project from beginning to end.

There is currently no facility offering this degree of advanced integrated care to breast cancer patients in Western Australia.  To help us or to find out more, please contact Carmelo Arto, CEO, on 0488 554 779.
