PYNKS is a supportive social group for patients with metastatic or advanced breast cancer.
PYNKS derives its name from Positive, Young, Nurturing, Kids/family focused, Strength-giving. These words perfectly capture the essence of BCRC-WA’s warm, friendly and welcoming social group for patients with metastatic breast cancer.
Metastatic breast cancer, also known as secondary or advanced breast cancer, is when cancer has spread from the breast to other parts of the body.
Join our PYNKS meetings each month to share and connect with other like-minded people who can provide understanding, friendship and support.
PYNKS is free and open to Perth Breast Cancer Institute (PBCI) patients. We also welcome family, children, friends, loved ones and carers to select events.

I was also encouraged to attend PYNKS and I am so grateful I did. Through this wonderful group, I’ve met amazing women who are always generous in sharing their experiences and willing to help in any way they can. Being able to talk, laugh and sometimes cry with people who truly understand what you’re dealing with, is an amazing support. I always leave a PYNKS gathering feeling lighter than when I arrived.
