On June 3rd 2016, Professor Arlene Chan was the “Professions Award Winner” of the “Western Australian of the Year Awards” for 2016. A prestigious award, that recognises Professor Chan’s contribution to the Western Australian community for her clinical research trials through our Breast Clinical Trials Unit. Professor Chan has earned an international reputation for her ground breaking research, which has resulted in better treatment for cancer patients, improved cure rates and prolonged life for cancer sufferers.
