Breast Cancer Research Centre – WA welcomes new CEO

Breast Cancer Research Centre – WA (BCRC-WA) has appointed Sarah Fordham as their new Chief Executive Officer.

The visionary behind BCRC – WA, Professor Arlene Chan, said the appointment came after a thorough search and interview process.

“Sarah is an outstanding choice and brings a wealth of experience from her operational and philanthropic background. We are delighted to have appointed her to the role.”

Sarah joins the organisation at an exciting time with expanding clinical trials and research programs and increasing demand for patient programs and services. She is well placed to lead the organisation with over 20 years of experience in building brands and revenue across commercial and not-for-profit sectors, working for companies such as The Heart Foundation, Qantas, Shell and Telethon Kids Institute.

“I am honoured to have been appointed to the role of CEO for this wonderful organization,” said Ms Fordham.

“I am already motivated by the clinicians, staff and patients that I have had the chance to meet and I am ready to work beside them to continue providing the best possible treatment and support services for breast cancer patients.”

The Board is looking forward to working with Sarah to further expand the reach and influence of BCRC-WA’s evidence-based treatment for breast cancer to increase survival rates and prolong life.
