BCRC-WA Awarded $20,000 in
2024 CommBank Community Grant
We are excited to share that BCRC-WA has been awarded a $20,000 grant as part of the 2024 CommBank Staff Foundation Community Grants program, marking the third consecutive year we’ve received this generous support.
The 2024 program is the most significant yet, with 175 community organisations receiving $20,000 each, totalling an impressive $3.5 million in funding. These grants support a wide range of initiatives that address critical issues like mental health, regional communities, domestic violence survivors, education for First Nations Peoples, children’s health, and more.
This year’s record-breaking funding is made possible through regular salary donations from CommBank staff, which are then matched by CommBank. Over the past 17 years, the program has awarded more than $30 million to community organisations like ours, all part of CommBank’s long-standing workplace-giving culture.
We are particularly grateful to Paul Massie, a CommBank staff member whose partner Richelle was treated here at BCRC-WA, for nominating us for this grant. This support means so much to us and to all the individuals and families we serve.
Thank you, CommBank Staff Foundation, for your continued belief in our work and for empowering us to make a lasting impact on the lives of those affected by breast cancer.
