Professor Arlene Chan Receives Career Achievement Award

Each year, Cancer Council WA hosts the Research Awards Lunch to honour the achievements of cancer researchers and express gratitude to the generous supporters who make this vital work possible. Earlier this month, Professor Arlene Chan, founder of BCRC-WA, received the prestigious Professor Bruce Armstrong Career Achievement Award.

The Professor Bruce Armstrong Research Career Achievement Award recognises outstanding career achievement in the field of cancer research. It is named in honour of the extraordinary contribution that Professor Bruce Armstrong has made to cancer prevention, research, and cancer screening over his career.

The award is one of three research excellence awards that the Cancer Council WA awards annually. These awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of Western Australia’s best and brightest cancer researchers.

His Excellency the Honourable Chris Dawson AC APM, the Governor of Western Australia, presented Professor Chan with the award.
