Maisie’s Ride for Triple Negative
Maisie’s fundraising initiative, known as “Maisie’s Ride for Triple Negative,” achieved a remarkable feat by generating a total of $23,232 in donations for BCRC-WA. The event, which took place on July 24, 2021, involved a 17km bicycle ride undertaken by Maisie and her father, Kevin, from Karratha to Dampier.
The primary motivation behind Maisie’s efforts was to contribute to the cause of supporting individuals affected by Triple Negative Breast Cancer, which she referred to as “Mummies like mine.” Her aim was to aid scientists in their quest to discover a cure and develop new medications for this form of cancer.
Surpassing expectations, Maisie and Kevin arrived at the Dampier destination ahead of schedule. To provide others with an opportunity to witness the conclusion of the ride, they decided to extend their journey by an additional 3km. This gesture demonstrated their dedication to the cause and their desire to involve as many people as possible.
A very big ‘thank you’ to little Maisie, Kevin and everyone who donated. What an amazing achievement!
I wasn’t tired afterwards, and Daddy rode with me.
