The collaboration between the Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) and FPA Women in Financial Planning WA resulted in the creation of a highly significant High Tea event commemorating International Women’s Day 2023. The event successfully garnered $2,625 in funds for BCRC-WA.

The afternoon affair encompassed not only the delightful High Tea but also featured engaging activities such as raffles, auctions, bustling market stalls, and an insightful presentation by Kasey Venter, the distinguished winner of the 2022 40 under 40 accolade. The earnings from this occasion were allocated to two commendable WA charities: the Breast Cancer Research Centre WA and the ‘Hope Project’ initiated by Goldfields Women’s Refuge.

This marked the second instance where AFA undertook fundraising efforts for BCRC-WA. The inaugural endeavor was the AFA Inspire Charity Walk, which took place on Sunday, October 23, 2022. With a hundred participants, including children and even canine companions, the event saw a collective walk around Lake Monger.

Supported by generous sponsorship from esteemed entities such as MetLife Australia, AIA Australia, Zurich Australia, and Magellan Financial Group, in addition to the contributions from a raffle and individual donations, the AFA Inspire initiative triumphantly amassed a total of $2,447.
