Past Fundraisers

We are honoured to be the beneficiary of so many fantastic fundraising activities and events, hear from some of our recent fundraisers.

Maisie’s Ride for Triple Negative

Maisie’s Ride for Triple Negative raised an astounding $23,232 for BCRC-WA and donations are  continuing. Maisie and her dad Kevin rode 17km from Karratha to Dampier on 24 July 2021. Maise wanted to raise money for “Mummies like mine” and help scientists find a cure and new medicines for Triple Negative Breast Cancer.

They arrived at Dampier a little earlier than expected, so they went for an additional 3km ride to give people a chance to be at the finish line!

“I wasn’t tired afterwards, and Daddy rode with me.” – Maisie

A very big ‘thank you’ to little Maisie, Kevin and everyone who donated. What an amazing achievement!

Lady Bird Fund

The Ladybird Fund was created in honour of ‘Ginny’, Virginia Margaret Brooke, who passed away from advanced breast cancer in 2015. Ginny’s wish was to support breast cancer patients through what can be expensive treatments.  The Brooke family hope to share Ginny’s giving spirit by championing this cause for people suffering from a breast cancer diagnosis and financial hardship because of treatment costs.

The Ladybird Fun is an incredibly worthy cause to support in memory of a special lady.  Any contribution no matter how small is welcome.
